Today, in the reception camp “Lipa” near Bihac, the registration and issuance of identification cards for about a thousand migrants who are accommodated there begins.

”This will establish a biometric system with databases. We must start the procedure of issuing identification cards, and establish a biometric system with databases in order to know at any time whether migrants staying in the camp are registered,” said the Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners Affairs of BiH Mirsad Buzar.

Local media report that about 2,700 migrants are currently staying in four reception centers in Una-Sana Canton, while about five hundred are in private accommodation or abandoned facilities, Avaz writes.
