At yesterday’s session in Mostar, the Government of FBiH adopted the information on activities regarding the defining of new regulations and essential list of medicines in biH.

“The Government will request from the Council of Minister of BiH urgent adoption of the essential list of medicines in BiH, as well as of new regulations, but with strict respect for the prescribed procedures defined in the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices,” said Mandić after the session.

Mandić said that the FBiH Government is not an obstructionist for the adoption of regulations on the level of BiH, which is also evidenced by the drawn conclusion.

“If regulations on the level of BiH, which are necessary, are adopted, those regulations should provide a framework rulebook on maximum prices and the limits which should not be exceeded. It is most likely that this would result in reduction of prices,” Mandić said.

Price of medicine also includes the VAT and experts claim that medicines are cheaper in Croatia precisely because Croatia has differential rate of VAT.

Furthermore, the FBiH Government defined the Draft law on forests in FBiH which was forwarded to regular parliamentarian procedure and which, according to the Government, regulates this area.

The new law regulates preservation and protection of forests and forest soil and ensures sustainable management.

When it comes to forest management, only one utility enterprise on the cantonal level will be executing this job.

Regarding financing, users of forests should not pay reimbursement to cantons, but to municipalities, in the coming period.
