BOSNIA SREBRENICA MASS GRAVEThe process of exhumation at three localities in the Bratunac Municipality, during which incomplete remains of three victims were found, is completed.

The found remains will be transported to the Commemoration Center Tuzla where forensic and crime-technical processing will be conducted, i.e. cause of death will be determined and samples of bones will be taken so that the identity of the victims could be determined with DNA analysis.

Monitoring and coordination of the exhumation process was conducted by the investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. Participants in the exhumation were employees of the Institute for Missing Persons in BiH, an expert pathologist in forensic medicine, as well as police officers of the Police Station Bratunac.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, together with institutions involved in the process of searching for missing persons in BiH, continues activities in exhumation processes and searching for missing persons throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH stated.
