tffFour years ago, the idea of festival in Tuzla looked completely ‘unreasonable’. Work on the implementation of the first Tuzla Film Festival (TFF) lasted full two years, because beside lack of financial resources and contacts, lack of manpower, who would adequately answer requirements of such events, was big problem.

First TFF saw the light of day 22nd August 2012, in the premises of Bosnian Culture Center Tuzla. At this festival came renowned actors, directors, producers, and other people who dealing with this business from the former Yugoslavia. Names like Lazar Ristovski, Emir Hadžihafizbegović, Miloš Samolov, Ademir Kenović, Miroslav Momčilović ( winner of award  TFF fairy (vila TFF) for feature film ), Elma Tataragić, Dragan Marinković, Janko Baljak and others are paraded newborn festival and completed its power and importance.

Among other things, next to the aesthetic and artistic experience, purpose of TFF  is also to create conditions suitable for the development of the film business.

Many people have asked the question: “Why Tuzla Film Festival alongside Sarajevo, Belgrade, Zagreb and others?” Many people are not invited to these festivals, neither everyone have the financial ability to go to one of these festivals. Also, the artistic circles are quite closed for business in this segment.

We are bound to bring art and business to our citizens, and expansion and strengthening of the festival family brings a positive image for Tuzla (which is neglected by many issues), and the same for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Yesterday night, the audience had a chance to watch movies “Mamula“ and “Turist“.

Dear friends of festival, we hope you will enjoy in this year’s selection and mutual interaction and create critical opinion that is necessary for social progress.
