Representative in the German Parliament and member of the Labor and Social Policy Committee of the Bundestag, Max Straubinger, visited today the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized the importance of respecting the laws that regulate the labor market and the crucial importance of strict controls on the application of laws and rules, but also the constant possibility of further improvements.
He also emphasized Germany’s support for the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union.
According to the announcement, Straubinger visited the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH in Sarajevo with Daniel Stinsky, head of the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The guests were received by the president of the Association, Selvedin Šatorović, who informed them of the latest developments regarding the adoption of the minimum wage law in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting discussed workers’ rights, compliance with legal provisions related to equal pay for men and women, payment of benefits for sick leave and use of annual vacations.
