Representatives of the Brcko District Trade Union reached an Agreement

Representatives of the Brčko District Trade Union reached an agreement with the District Government on the termination of the general strike of workers in the public administration and the Basic Court of the District, according to which they accept the original offer of the employer to increase the base for salary calculation by five percent, as well as a one-time financial aid in the amount of 400 BAM for all employees with secondary and lower vocational education.

“The basis for salary calculation has been increased from 667 BAM to 700 BAM, while from 01.01.2024. to be another increase of another five percent. Salary grade one is abolished and placed in salary grade two. A one-time financial aid in the amount of 400 BAM is reserved for employees whose salary is up to 1,200 BAM, confirmed at today’s press conference the mayor of Brčko district of BiH Zijad Nišić.

He said that conditions have been created for the termination of the general strike and that the contract will be signed at the beginning of next week, after which the general strike will be officially terminated.
