The exhibition will shown in BKC until November 26th.

The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, presented the activities planned for November 25, stressing that “the City of Sarajevo will do everything so that together with our partners we celebrate our Statehood Day with dignity and that the program is meaningful and suitable for all our fellow citizens”.

Karic stated that the celebration protocol on Friday, November 25th, begins with the traditional raising of the flag on the Hum hill above Sarajevo, followed by the laying of flowers at the “Eternal Flame“ (”Vjecna Vatra”), the “Kovaci” cemetery and the grave of the first president of the Republic of BiH (RBiH), Alija Izetbegovic. Also, flowers will be laid at the Memorial to the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo, as well as at the “Vraca” Memorial Park and at city cemeteries.

After the protocol and the laying of flowers, on Friday, starting at 5 p.m., a ceremonial academy will be held in the Sarajevo City Hall on the occasion of Statehood Day. Mayor Karic stated that the awards of the City of Sarajevo will also be presented at that time.

“Plaques of the City of Sarajevo” will be awarded to Mladen Solomun, Lejla Njemcevic, Lana Pudar, Faruk Sabanovic, and Edina Seleskovic, while the “Sarajevo Snowflake” (”Sarajevska pahuljica”) award will go to Lana Jusufovic and the group consisting of young members of the BiH team at the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad,” noted Karic.

As part of the celebration of November 25th, among other things, it was announced that the Tuzla National Theater will be visiting, which will present its new play “Djelidba” in Sarajevo, in the large hall of BKC, on Thursday, November 24th at 8 p.m., directed by Miralem Zubcevic based on the text of Skender Kulenovic.
