Rich Program in Sarajevo National Theatre

narodno pozoriste sarajevoThe Sarajevo National Theatre (NPS) will offer to the public this week an interesting program of their performances.

On Wednesday, 5 February the operetta ‘Merry Widow’ by Franz Lehár will take place, with the libretto by Victor Léon and Leo Stein, directed by Krunoslav Cigoj.

Soloists and the choir Opera, the ballet of the National Theatre Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Philharmonic will participate, directed by Dario Vučić.

On Thursday, 6 February the ballet ‘Thumbelina’ will take place, choreographed by Nermina Damina. On Saturday, 8 February, there will be the youth opera “Ježeva kuća” (hedgehog house) as part of the Sarajevska Zima Festival, directed and choreographed by Ferid Karajica. The choir Opera NPS and the Sarajevo Philharmonic will take part in this performance, conducted by Dario Vučić.

On Friday, 7 February, the 30th Sarajevska Zima Festival will open in the square in front of the Sarajevo National Theatre, called ‘PAFF!’ (Peace Art Freedom Festival).

On the same evening, in the foyer of the NPS there will be an exhibition of postage stamps from the collection of Kenan Novalija, issued on the occasion of the XIV Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games.

After the exhibition, there will be a stage performance by a theatre from South Korea- Lim Dong-Chang & t.a. Total Theatre, announced NPS.
