The City Council of the City of Sarajevo supported the initiative that Richard Holbrooke gets an adequate memorial in this city.
At the 35th session of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo held yesterday, within the agenda section regarding Councilors’ questions and initiatives, the city councilor Miro Lazović, deputy chairman of the City Council, proposed the initiative for making an adequate memorial for the late US diplomat Richard Holbrooke, thus paying tribute to his selfless engagement during the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords that halted the war in BiH and brought peace.
The initiative was supported by the city councilors and thus it became the initiative of the City Council, it was stated in a press release.
