The 9th International Festival of Wine and Gastronomy “Sarajevo Wine Fest” was officially opened yesterday at 5 p.m. at the Radon Plaza Hotel in Sarajevo.
More than 50 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, France, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Spain are to take part in this year’s “Sarajevo Wine Fest”. A large number of visitors is also expected, who will have an opportunity to enjoy amazing offer of premium wineries and gastronomic specialties of prestigious domestic and regional food producers during two days in attractive festival atmosphere.
The festival is organized by the Association of Gastronomists “Gastro kutak”. During the Festival, specially designed wine and cooking workshops will also be held.
This time as well, the event will gather prominent winemakers, enologists, sommeliers, tasters, chefs, caterers, tourist workers and public individuals.
Aim of the “Sarajevo Wine Fest” is the promotion of wine industry and the culture of wine and the tourist and hospitality offer, expansion of the gastro offer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the change of the image of BiH and the promotion and development of fair and festival tourism.
Spokesman of the “Sarajevo Wine fest” Darko Košavić stated that it is his pleasure that the Festival became a tradition and that the number of exhibitors increases year after year.
