“We keep statistics according to the number of overnight stays, but it certainly is evident that tourist visits are increasing. Around 2.000 overnight stays in the town have been recorded in 2014, while based on data on residence tax we can conclude that there were more than 2.000 overnight stays in 2015,” said the director of the Tourist Board of Srebrenica Sead jahić.

Those are data recorded in registered facilities. Overnight stays have also been realized in facilities that are not registered and around 1.000 such overnight stays have been recorded.

Tourists, of whom significant number are foreigners, mostly visit the Memorial Center Potočari, where they pay tribute to the genocide victims.

Tourists also visit interesting facilities in the town, the museum collection, gallery of photographs, healing springs of Guber, the cultural-historical heritage, while the most attractive location in the summer period is the Perućac Lake.

“The most visited site during the summer is the Perućac Lake, where a regatta takes place every year,” Jahić added.
