received_1113397532044535By establishing an agreement on operational and strategic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EUROPOL adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH yesterday, cooperation will be established between BiH and EUROPOL. This will support the countries members of the EU and BiH in prevention and fight against organized crime, terrorism and other types of international crime, primarily through exchange of information.

The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on collocation (joint use) of diplomatic-consular offices.

The Council of Ministers of BiH tasked the Ministry of Communications and Transportation to immediately publish a new decision on minimum technical requirements for newly produced and used vehicles in the type-approval of vehicles and approval of individual vehicles. The Ministry will continuously monitor the measures prescribed with this decision and regularly report to the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The new decision will not be applied to vehicles that arrived at the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina or whose order was made before April 1, 2016, when this decision becomes effective.
The Council of Ministers also acknowledged the information by the Directorate for Economic Planning on the movement of macroeconomic indicators for the period from January to December 2015. It is stated in this information that economic activities have increased by around three percent in comparison with 2014.

Growth in industrial production by 2.6 percent has been recorded in 2015, followed by increase in the number of employed persons in comparison with a year earlier. One of the main generators of the growth is the manufacturing industry that generated the increase in production by 4.8 percent. Examining industrial branches separately, the highest rates of growth in 2015 were generated in furniture production (27 percent), fabricated metal products (9.6 percent), chemical products (7.6 percent) and food products (6.4 percent).

The employment rate in November 2015 increased by 1.9 percent and the total number of employed persons is 719.200. At the same time, the total number of unemployed in December last year decreased by 1.7 percent in comparison with 2015 and amounted to 537.600.

Foreign trade deficit has been reduced by 8.7 percent in 2015, when Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods worth 8.9 billion BAM, which is an increase by 3.5 percent in comparison with the previous year. The total BiH import of goods in the past year amounted to 15.9 billion BAM and has decreased by 2.1 percent in comparison with 2014.
