This tourist season, Vrelo Bune in Blagaj near Mostar continues to be one of the most visited destinations in Herzegovina. Whoever comes to this city on the Neretva to see the old bridge, famous worldwide for its beauty, comes to Blagaj to see the Vrelo Bune, which is one of the most mystical places in BiH.
The spring is, due to its internal gallery, depth and length of the underground rooms and the average flow rate of water of 43.000 liters per second, it is among the five most interesting places in Europe.
In order to take advantage of the tourist capacity of this area for tourists that mostly come from Turkey, the US, France, Spain and Germany, members of the Sport-Tourist Association ‘Blagaj-City’ came to the idea to organize by September a boat ride to the source of the river in the interior of the cave.
“This is attractive to all who stop by here for one or two hours in Blaga, and especially for Slovenians. For one person, a ride costs 2 euros, and lasts 15 minutes. This is a tour and relaxing drive along with a narration of the source and old legends tied to the cave, and people can film and take pictures of the inside of the cave’’, said Ibrahim Balalić, President of the Association.
It is possible to organize a canoe safari on the Buna or Bunica, which particularly interests Spaniards and French people.
“Both rivers are still, so this is ideal for the entire family. The ride, which lasts a maximum of three hours, costs 12 euros per person. Everyone is guaranteed safety, because our team is with people the entire time, and they get the equipment and vessels’’, highlights Balalić.
