EUFOR Commander General Florin-Marian Barbu met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska (RS), Sinisa Karan, in Banja Luka. During the meeting, it was stated that the security situation in the RS is favorable and stable and that the current political situation has not affected security in this entity or in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The RS Ministry of Internal Affairs further assures that their operational work is related to their legal competencies in combating crime, maintaining public order and peace, and other tasks within their jurisdiction.
The interlocutors noted that the cooperation between EUFOR and the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs has been good so far and emphasized their commitment to continuing it in the future.
