van-veenTo the delight of the people of Sarajevo, primarily women, in our capital city is coming Dutch culinary master and television presenter Rudolph van Veen. Rudolph said that he is looking forward to visit Sarajevo because he had never been in our country before.

“I’m very excited to finally visit Sarajevo. Since I have never been in BiH, I do not really know who’s watching my show. However, when I was on holiday in France, I met people from BiH who greeted me very enthusiastically as if they already knew me. Really interesting,” said Rudolph.

To recall, Rudolph will come on the opening of the new premises of the popular Sarajevo cafe-bakery “Mrvica” and he will socialize with the guests in the new object in Jelica Street on the 1st of October.

“I think that “Mrvica” brings an eclectic mix of international and local sweets to people in Sarajevo. This bakery is a true example of how you can realize dreams through perseverance and dedication without compromise. Sweet dreams can come true. For the grand opening of the bakery ‘Mrvica Stari Grad’ we want everyone to celebrate the love for good food and sweets. ‘Cook with Rudolph’ means that all visitors will have the opportunity to cook with me. I’ll choose a few visitors from the audience with whom I will prepare several desserts. Of course, I’ll meet the visitors and we will make photos together,” said this charming chef.

Citizens of BiH and lovers of cooking have the opportunity to watch shows where Rudolph prepares delicious meals (Rudolph’s Bakery), and fast food in the show “Easy Meals”. When asked whether he prefers to prepare savory or sweet dishes, Rudolph said that he loves to cook as healthy as possible, and that cooking is a lot of fun as well.

“Unfortunately, I do not know Bosnian cuisine very well. I tried cream cheese and chutney and I liked it very much. I know you all love good meat sauces.”

This culinary master does not have only one favorite dish. He believes that variety is the spice of life. He prefers simple dishes like good bread, soup or dishes from the pot, more than elegant meals in the French style. He also added that he likes to drink a good cup of coffee with something sweet.

Rudolph also cooks at home, and cooking and baking are not just a job for him. He enjoys preparing food at home and he is always trying to improve his knowledge.

He has a daughter, Doris, and son, Ralph, with whom he cooks gladly.

“My daughter knows to make a pizza with fresh ingredients on her own. She realized that preparation of fresh food is perfect for fun with friends. My son has started to help me with the cooking and he enjoys to play with dough,” said Rudolph.

“Great recipe that I would recommend to the true gourmets is “Apple Pizza”. On Saturday, the 1st of October, I will demonstrate in Sarajevo how quickly and easily to prepare this treat. I want to invite you all to join me and enjoy the fun. See you all soon, “said the Dutch culinary master.

To recall, on Saturday, the 1st of October, in 12 pm in front of the Sarajevo Cathedral will be organized socializing with fans where Rudolph will prepare sweets with Mrvica team, which will remain in a permanent offer of this cafe-bakery. After the event will be time for taking photos and talking with fans.
