On the occasion of the participation of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović at the Crimean Platform in Kyiv, the Russian Embassy in our country reacted strongly.

The Russian Embassy claims that Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are “united” with Russia in accordance with international law.

“Therefore, we perceive the presence of such gatherings as an openly hostile act. We consider any form of joining the aforementioned initiative an attack on the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. We reserve the right to respond to hostile actions,” they said.

They reproached the members of the BiH Presidency, Komšić and Bećirović, for participating in the commemorative events in Bucha, once again denying the crimes that took place there.

The embassy agreed with BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović that the visit of the other two Presidency members was private and not approved by the BiH Presidency.

“In this context, the statement of one of the members of the Presidency of BiH that ‘Bosnia and Herzegovina thereby expresses its support for Ukraine’ is not only a manifestation of megalomania, but also a gross violation of the Constitution of BiH, and therefore of the Dayton Peace Agreement,” the statement said.
