The largest European low-cost airline Ryanair should start operating from the Airport Banja Luka during the winter season 2018/19, and the process of negotiations is currently taking place.

It is assumed that two new lines should be introduced, but the details cannot be revealed since the negotiations are still ongoing.

Nedjo Trninic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the RS, stated that they cannot reveal the name of the airline yet.

“We cannot reveal any details until we sign the agreement, because that is what we agreed with the company. We will announce everything in 15 days,” said Trninic.

There is no official confirmation from Ryanair as well.

This company started negotiations with the administration of the Banja Luka Airport back in 2006, however, without success. If they manage to agree now, “Ryanair” would enter the market of BiH. When it comes to the region, this company is flying from airports in Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.

This company already announced several new flights that will be introduced in several regional cities this summer, including Zadar, Pula, Rijeka and Podgorica.
