Irish low-cost airline Ryanair said its net profit in the first half of this year was 820 million euros, up 460 million euros, or 128 percent, from the same period last year.

The reason for this is the increase in ticket prices and the increase in the number of trips during the Easter holidays. This is the largest airline in Europe by number of passengers.

From the beginning of this year to the end of June, it carried 57.9 million passengers, while in the first six months of last year it carried 55.5 million passengers, which is four percent more. Its revenue was 4.34 billion euros, which is 20 percent more than in the first six months of 2024. Its operating expenses were 3.42 billion euros, which is five percent more than in the first six months of last year.

Ryanair has 618 aircraft, 25 more than last year, of which 181 are Boeing 737-8200s, which it said were responsible for the increase in traffic. It has ordered a total of 210 of the aforementioned Boeing aircraft and expects the remaining 29 to be delivered significantly before July next year. By March 2034, it should have delivered 300 Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

It said it would operate 2,600 routes this summer and claimed there was strong demand on all its routes.
