Reisu-l-ulema Husein Kavazović reacted to media headlines and the statement of the head of BiH diplomacy Elmedin Konaković regarding his conversation with the US special envoy for combating anti-Semitism, Yehuda Kaplun, about, among other things, the content of the Eid sermon in which the head of the Islamkc Community also mentioned the wars in the Middle East.

Kavazovic responded that he would not agree to fabricated accusations of anti-Semitism that come from, as he states, well-known and malicious political and lobbying circles.

Reis added that he is convinced that Ambassador Kaplun and BiH’s friends in the US know the real situation well and will not fall for deliberate provocations that try to disrupt relations between Muslims and Jews for the sake of petty political goals, the reisu-l-ulema told MINA.
