The Doboj Police Department sanctioned a man who displayed the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on his car in the city center.
The vehicle was parked at the intersection of Svetog Sava and Knez Lazar streets, reports Srna news agency.
The police in Doboj announced a little later that they sanctioned a person from the area of this city whose initials are S.M., who was found to have displayed a flag on a Lada vehicle that was prohibited by the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007, the Doboj Police Administration announced.
The Doboj administration states that this person has been sanctioned under Article Seven of the Law on Public Order and Peace in the Republika Srpska.
Although the media in the RS reported that it was a “war flag”, i.e. the flag of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the photographs taken at the scene, it is evident that it is the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was used as an official symbol of 1992 to 1998.
It is a flag that, among other things, was in front of the building of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, representing independent and sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina.
