[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Renovation and restoration of the residential unit of Saburina house (Saburina kuca), which was declared as national monument back in 2006, has been continued through the 3rd and 4th phase.

Considering that the 1st phase of the restoration of Saburina house was done in 2013, the 2nd phase in 2014, the Municipality of Stari Grad has decided to start with the realization of the 3rd and 4th phases of Saburina house this year.

Within the 3rd phase, the constructional and craft works are planned, including repair of street boundary wall, entrance gate, while the roof will be placed over the entire length of the wall. Part of the 4th phase will include interior works such as kitchen restoration, sofas in the top chamber (halvat), setting masks for radiators, and the installation of cupboards (protection for boilers).

According to Pavle Masic from the Institute for Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage of Canton Sarajevo, preparatory works were carried out last week.

“We relocated the furniture that was inside of Saburina house and prepared the space in order to start with the works that are planned,” said Masic.

Approximately 57,900 BAM was allocated for these works.
