anniversaryToday is marked 22 years since the horrible massacre in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipasino Polje, when six children was killed and another six injured. Children were killed while they were sledding…

Also known as the Massacre at Bosanska Street (at number 4), it happened on the 22nd of January 1994 at 1:40 pm. The massacre was committed with three shells that were fired from the aggressor’s position.

On that day 6 children were killed: Indira Brkovic (1982), 11 years old; Jasmina Brkovic (1989), 4 years old; Mirza Dedovic (1986), 8 years old; Daniel Jurenic (1981), 12 years old; Nermin Rizvanovic (1981), 12 years old; Admir Subasic (1986), 7 years old.

During the aggression on B&H, in the period from 1992 to 1995, the aggressor’s forces committed several massacres over the local population, not only in the capital city, but throughout the whole B&H.

When committing the crimes, the aggressors were not looking who is the victim, or chose a location of the attack. They were attacking civilians, children, women, old people, they bombed, burnt and destroyed religious and healthcare facilities.
