samacThe embankment on the right bank of the river Bosnia near Samac in the afternoon was fully closed and thus prevented further penetration of water into the city, said for Fena Agency Savo Minić, mayor of Šamac. Moreover, he added that with the reparation of the dam, river Bosnia was restored to its bed and it will not flood the village in the municipalities Šamac, Domaljevac i Odžak.

He said that the water in the city is still high and that helicopters still help in the evacuation of citizens.

Minić emphasized that he hopes that water from Samac will be entirely withdrawn in the next 2-3 days.
