Sanski-MostThe Local Action Group (LAG) “Una-Sana” in Sanski Most is implementing a project called “Female Entrepreneurship in Rural Tourism” with the aim to educate women for certain rare professions and to encourage family-run businesses by women, which exists in the form of handicrafts.

“This is the finalization of this project, whose realization began a few months ago as part of a wider project of localizing gender in the FBiH’’, said the Director of LAG “Una-Sana” Šefik Veladžić.

He added that the project is jointly funded by the organization “UN Women” and the Dutch nonprofit organization SNV. On this occasion, there was the distribution of tools and materials for four traditional crafts, which deal with local women. The value of every individual donation amounts to several thousand KM, and the signing of an agreement was attended by the Mayor of the municipality Mustafa Avdagić, who supported this project.

As part of the same project, an educational workshop on souvenirs made of clay was held. The aim of this workshop is for women to be trained through practical work to make clay souvenirs. Halida Emrić led the workshop from Bužim, who has been engaged in making objects out of clay for a long time. “At the end of the workshop, there will be an exhibition of ceramic and other works in the field of production of souvenirs, which was created as part of the project LAG “Una-Sana” in the city gallery’’, added Veladžić.
