Sarajevan Ajka Lokmic celebrated her 110th Birthday

Grandma from Sarajevo Ajka Lokmić celebrated her 110th birthday today, and considering that she is a resident of Stari Grad municipality, a delegation from that municipality, led by mayor Irfan Čengić, visited.

“Her life story is not only of local interest, but a story that transcends borders, perhaps even the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nana Ajka Lokmić, who lives in the heart of the Stari Grad Sarajevo municipality, proudly holds the title of the oldest resident of Stari Grad, and perhaps and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” they point out from the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo.

She celebrated her birthday today in the company of her loved ones, and the municipal mayor Irfan Čengić joined the celebration.

The Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo states that Čengić’s visit is a gesture of respect for a fellow citizen and her life story.
