Sarajevo International Airport will receive two new direct airlines to Switzerland. The easyJet company announced the introduction of lines Sarajevo – Geneva and Sarajevo – Basel, which will further improve the air connection between the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland.

The Sarajevo – Geneva route will be introduced from April 22, 2027, and planes will operate on this route twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

A little later, from May 10, 2027, a direct line Sarajevo – Basel will be established, also twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

The new lines will open up additional opportunities for tourist and business trips between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, but will also make travel easier for the numerous BiH diaspora.

Tickets for the new routes are already available via easyJet’s website and mobile app.

The expansion of the network of destinations was supported by the Ministry of Economy of the Canton of Sarajevo and the Tourist Board of the Canton of Sarajevo, with the aim of improving the air connectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and further promoting Sarajevo as an international tourist destination.
