Sarajevo Airport is slowly returning to business as it was before the coronavirus pandemic, as shown by the latest data on air operations.
On Friday, June 24, Sarajevo International Airport was welcomed by 7,714 passengers, and as many as 71 air operations were successfully realized. It should be noted that on that day, 960 passengers traveled from the Sarajevo airport to the Hajj in Mecca.
This is a record number of passengers who used the services of Sarajevo Airport in one day, even compared to 2019, when the number of 7,651 passengers was recorded.
“Despite heavy crowds, as well as difficult working conditions due to high temperatures, the process of accepting planes, passengers and luggage went in the best order,” it was announced from the Sarajevo airport.

As part of the summer flight schedule, which came into force on March 27, it is planned that 22 airlines (scheduled and charter) will fly from Sarajevo to 35 European and world destinations. These are: Istanbul, Frankfurt, Dubai, Stockholm, Zurich, Riyadh, Jeddah, Sharjah, Vienna, Belgrade, Zagreb, Antalya, Hurghada, Bale / Mulhouse, Cologne, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Memmingen, Eindhoven, Copenhagen, Paris, Hamburg, Gothenburg , Bodrum, Charleroi, Oslo, Manama, Kuwait, Oman, Amman, Abu Dhabi, London, Warsaw, Treviso and Doha.
It should be reminded that Sarajevo International Airport previously announced the re-establishment of flights that were interrupted during the coronavirus pandemic, such as the Doha-Sarajevo flight.
