Sarajevo Airport welcomed 61.068 passengers during the first month of the year, improving its figures over both last year and the pre-pandemic January of 2020.
The result was achieved despite Wizz Air no longer having a base in the city and only serving two routes from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital.
Furthermore, Sarajevo Airport was hit by several flight diversions in January as a result of adverse weather conditions.
It registered a total of 809 aircraft movements during the month, Ex-Yu Aviation news reports.
