In the era of growing environmental challenges around the world, Bosnia and Herzegovina has joined the global movement to preserve the environment. The initiative “Let’s Do It – Clean the Earth in 1 Day” is a response to the serious problems of illegal waste dumps that contaminate our beautiful nature.

What this global movement teaches us is that the power of ordinary people is great and that they can do incredible things by joining forces.

The goal of World Cleanup Day is not only cleaner cities, parks, beaches and forests, but also a shift towards better waste management and raising awareness at the local and global level about the problem of waste and the urgency of solving it.

This movement also seeks to unite activist leaders of all countries in a common mission to act readily in the future to find sustainable solutions for a shared, cleaner future.

The twelfth field action to clean up illegal waste dumps will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023, in the area of the City of Tuzla. This action symbolizes the joint effort of the local community to fight pollution and preserve nature for future generations.

World Cleaning Day will be held in Sarajevo on Saturday, September 16, 2023. It is the day when the citizens of Sarajevo join the global movement to clean up the environment and express their commitment to the preservation of nature.
