Direct flights between Sarajevo and Athens are expected to resume in October 2026, following an announcement made during Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis’ recent visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking after talks with his Bosnian counterpart Elmedin Konaković, Gerapetritis said regular nonstop flights between the two capitals would resume “from October 2026.”
However, several weeks after the announcement, no airline has publicly confirmed the route or placed flights between Sarajevo and Athens on sale for October.
Current flight schedules also indicate that there are no published nonstop services between Sarajevo International Airport and Athens International Airport at present.
