Government of the Sarajevo Canton launched the making of the Education and Science Development Strategy in the Sarajevo Canton for the period 2017-2022, which is supposed to define strategic commitment and paths of future development of all levels of education.
In cooperation with the Commission appointed yesterday, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton will form task forces in different fields, who will be in charge of preparing the Strategy. This document will certainly define and facilitate the adoption of future regulations and decisions pertinent to all educational processes in the Sarajevo Canton.
Existence of one such strategic document is necessary and important for applying and nominating projects in the field of education for European funds.
As it was stated yesterday, deadline for the design of the Strategy is six months, starting two weeks from now, when a meeting of the Commission comprised of representatives of all levels of education and the Government of the Sarajevo Canton is to be held.
Through amendments to the Decision on taking over the founding rights in the Public Institution Student Center Sarajevo which were adopted yesterday, the Government of Sarajevo Canton enabled one member of the Steering Board of this institution to be selected from the group of students, so that the users of services would also have a chance to participate in the process of making decisions related to work and functioning of this Center.
