9097Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Dr. Ranko Čović attended the celebration of the 30th birthday of Vučko and opened the exhibition of artifacts from ZOI ’84 at the National Museum, which included the gathering of citizens of Sarajevo and students from Gymnasium Obala with students from other Sarajevo high schools. The exhibition is the final part of the project ‘Od Kulina bana do današnjih dana’ (from Kulin ban to today) as part of the celebration of the 30th year anniversary of the Olympics, and open to the public from 14 February to 25 February 2014.

The revenues from this project will be invested in the restoration of the roof of the Historical Museum.

”City of Sarajevo bought 500 tickets in the amount of 1.000 BAM, which will be divided between students of high school and elementary schools in order to get the youth to start visiting museums, theater and exhibitions”, said the Deputy Mayor.

Thanking the City Administration for support, Director of the Historical Museum B&H Elma Hašimbegović said that she believes that all elementary and high schools, citizens of Sarajevo and other guests who visited the city these days would come to see the exhibition.

”With the support to this project, we will succeed in achieving the educational role that the museum has and that is to educate young people”, said Director Hašimbegović.

In addition to the room of memories on the period during the Sarajevo Olympics, there is also a sale exhibition of artworks by students of Sarajevo high schools.
