Sarajevo International Airport Connects Travelers to Nearly 40 Global Destinations

Many, in order to welcome the New Year abroad, flew from one of Bosnia and Herzegovina. airports – from Sarajevo, Tuzla or Banja Luka. Favorable connections or direct flights, along with many low-cost companies, have made this form of transportation more accessible. It is also a benefit for those who come to our country from abroad.

The tourism sector of our country could record significant growth in the new year. New lines that take passengers to important world destinations will also contribute to this. Airports in our country are already recording a significant increase in passengers.

Sarajevo International Airport has boasted new results presented in the ACI EUROPE Airport Traffic Report, which ranks it among the fastest-growing airports in Europe in its category.

According to the latest ACI EUROPE Airport Traffic Report for October 2025, Sarajevo Airport records outstanding results and is ranked among the fastest-growing airports in Europe in its category.

According to data from this report, in October 2025 Sarajevo Airport handled 181.426 passengers, which represents an increase of 22.3 percent compared to October 2024 and an increase of 89.7 percent compared to 2019.

Sarajevo International Airport took fourth place in passenger traffic growth for October 2025 and fourth place in passenger growth on a YTD level, that is, the year-to-date level, up to and including October.

With these results, Sarajevo Airport is achieving growth significantly above the European and regional average, confirming a strong upward trend and continuous development. Thank you to all passengers and partners who are part of this success. We continue to grow together, the statement from Sarajevo International Airport said.
