Sarajevo International Airport has successfully completed accreditation activities within the ACI (Airports Council International) program for accreditation of health services at airports.
Following a review of the evidence presented through the assessment process, Sarajevo International Airport has demonstrated that it provides a safe environment for all passengers, in accordance with the recommended health measures set out in the ACI Guidelines for Air Opening and Recovery industrial practice.
The ACI Airport Health Accreditation Program enables airport operators to determine the compliance of established health measures at their airports with the recommendations of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Working Group for Aviation Recovery Recovery Task Force), it was announced on the airport’s website.
The health accreditation included several phases and included filling in questionnaires and accompanying documentation, along with conducting online interviews and checks with representatives of the Council of Airport Operators.
After fulfilling all the requirements on the basis of the presented evidence, the Sarajevo International Airport was approved for certification according to the ACI program of health accreditation of the airport. After obtaining the accreditation certificate, the airport operator independently monitors the application of health measures at regular intervals and renews the certificate annually by conducting the recertification procedure and proving continuous compliance with the program requirements.
