Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is once again at the top of the list of world cities with the most polluted air, according to data from the “IQAir” portal.

Sarajevo is currently third on the list of the most polluted cities, and the air quality in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is rated as “very unhealthy”, with a quality index of 218.

At the top of the list is New Delhi (India), whose quality index is 321, while the second is Dhaka (Bangladesh) with an index of 240.

The Swiss “IQAir” has more than 10,000 measuring stations around the world and shows the air quality around the world.

During the winter season in Sarajevo and some cities in BiH, the permitted concentration of floating particles is exceeded almost every day, and the biggest causes of pollution are industrial plants, traffic, waste burning, and individual fireplaces.
