Paragliding, or gliding with a paraglider, is becoming increasingly popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as an easy way to fulfill the dream of flying.

Enthusiasts of this exciting sport from the Extreme Sports Club Sarajevo believe that paragliding can significantly enhance Sarajevo’s tourism offerings.

Surrounded by mountains perfect for flying, Sarajevo is an ideal place to host a unique event called “Extreme Fly 2024.” This spectacular show will be held twice during the year.

The first part of the event is scheduled for June 28th to June 30th, with the participation of 70 international and 40 local paragliding pilots. The starting point is on Trebevic, at the Slovenian mountaineering home “Jure Franko”, where paragliders will take off after 1 p.m.

After flying over the mountains around Sarajevo on a route between 50 and 100 kilometers long, the destination is Bare-Sip, behind the “Bingo” business complex. A special program to welcome the paragliders will be organized there.

Residents and tourists will be able to enjoy the beautiful sight of over a hundred paragliders in the sky above Sarajevo. Their flights, ascents, and descents will provide an unforgettable spectacle.

After landing, all visitors are invited to the “Extreme Fly party” outdoors, where famous Sarajevo DJs will perform on both days of the event.

All activities are free, the weather forecast is excellent, and organizers are inviting citizens to come in large numbers, support these brave athletes, and enjoy the spectacular paragliding flights.

The second part of the paragliding show “Extreme Fly 2024” will be held from August 8th to August 10th, a period when Sarajevo sees the highest number of tourists. This unique event is sure to delight all visitors to the capital city, Klix.ba writes.
