Sarajevo Mayor: To do Everything that is allowed by Law to Prevent future Tragedies

The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, announced on her Facebook profile about the traffic accident in which the young doctor Azra Spahić was killed on May 26.

“And while we are so paralyzed by sincere pain and full of anger from the powerlessness to change something, we ask all officials to take everything that is allowed by law to prevent future tragedies, let’s try to find the strength and stand up against the subculture of arrogance and bullying that we usually just turn away from head, out of fear, hopelessness and mistrust of the system. Each of us should ask ourselves what we can change. Let her sacrifice be our strength to change this world for the better, the way she wanted to do it. Let’s be brave. That is our debt to her,” Mayor Karić said, among other things.
