The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, announced that she had accepted the invitation of the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, to participate in the Kyiv Investment Forum.
This event should take place on November 28, and due to the situation in Ukraine, this year it will be held in Brussels.
“I accepted the invitation of the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, to participate in the international investment forum ‘Kyiv Investment Forum’, which will be held on November 28 in Brussels. This event is normally held in the capital of Ukraine, but for security reasons as a result of the Russian invasion of this country , the Forum was moved to Brussels,” said Karić.
In a call to the mayor of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Klitschko emphasized that the consequences of Russian aggression are devastating – that civil infrastructure (which refers to hospitals and schools) was destroyed, that production facilities were destroyed, that key investments were stopped.
He indicated that the emphasis of this year’s forum will be on the reconstruction of the Ukrainian metropolis.
“We have set ambitious goals to find effective solutions for economic recovery, which will not only rebuild Kyiv, but also provide a strong impetus for economic, social and political development. In addition, other Ukrainian cities and regions will undoubtedly benefit from our solutions for reconstruction planning,” Klitschko pointed out.
He told the mayor of Sarajevo that her participation, as “the head of a prominent European city, is very important for the elaboration of a balanced comprehensive approach for the creation of future policies”.
“Dear colleagues, I would be glad to welcome you to the Kyiv Investment Forum 2022. I use this opportunity to repeat the assurances of my highest appreciation and respect and to wish you and the residents of your magnificent city peace and prosperity,” reads Vitali Klitschko’s letter, Klix.ba reports.
