The University of Sarajevo held three days ago the promotion of ten doctors of science. The University’s rector, professor doctor Muharem Avdispahić said that this is a chance to answer a question about how far has come the education which enables a dignified European future.
“We hope and expect those who are candidates for leading this country towards European integration in the next four years to say something about building campuses and supporting systematically the training of young researchers according to the world highest standards.” – emphasized Avdispahić.
The promoted doctors of science are: Amra Mulović (linguistics), Dželila Babović (Litterature and history), Ivan Orlić (sociology), Maida Šišrak, Orhan Lepara and Alen Džubur (Medicine), Anja Haverić and Belma Kalamujić (biology), Naida Hadžiabdić and Anita Bajsman (stomatology).
“I am very happy to attend this event and to be a part of it. I have made many efforts for this and my family and I are very happy.” – said one of the newly promoted doctors, Naida Hadžiabdić.
She acquired her academic title at the Stomatology Faculty in Sarajevo at the Department for oral surgery.
“I believe education is the only thing we carry along through life, as well as the only thing that remains. Still, you have to love what you do: love is the only thing that will keep you going straight to doctor dissertation.” – concluded Hadžiabdić.
