Sarajevo records new Cases of Coronavirus and New Deaths

In the past 24 hours, 29 newly infected persons with coronavirus were registered in the Sarajevo Canton. In the same period, 67 of them recovered from Covid-19 infection.

Of this number of newly infected, 19 of them, or 65.51 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected people, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Unfortunately, two patients who were infected with this virus died yesterday. In the past day, 486 people were tested for coronavirus.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 922 active cases of COVID-19 infection. There are currently 4,037 citizens in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 51,947 people infected with coronavirus have been registered, as well as 49,809 people cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 50, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 83.

Currently, 203 patients are hospitalized in CS, 134 in the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and in the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”69 patients.

There are six patients on the respirator, five on the KCUS and one patient in the General Hospital. At the same time, 23 patients use oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute at KCUS, and four at the General Hospital. In the past 24 hours, five people were released from hospitalization, the Protocol and Press Service of CS said.
