Sarajevo records New Cases of COVID-19

After the analysis of 956 samples, collected in the period from November 3 to 6 this year, and among which are the remaining tests from the Public Institution Health Center of Canton Sarajevo, which were processed in private laboratories, 487 newly infected people with coronavirus were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

298 infected persons, or 61.19 percent, belong to the family clusters or contacts of patients from before, and in self-isolation from before.

At the same time, 217 people recovered from infectious disease Covid-19.

160 people were hospitalized in the isolators of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo at Podhrastovi (88) and the General Hospital (72), five of whom use mechanical respiratory support during breathing.

Fourteen people were discharged from this hospital treatment. Unfortunately, one death was recorded, so the number of deaths caused by the coronavirus increased to 142. Currently, 4,931 cases of coronavirus infection are active in Sarajevo Canton. From January 30 to November 6 this year, a total of 11,833 people infected with coronavirus were registered, of which 6,760 recovered from the infectious disease COVID-19.

In the period from October 24 to November 7 this year, based on the recommendations of epidemiologists, decisions of the inspection or the Ministry of Health of CS, 5,689 self-isolations were ordered.
