The search for two missing young men who fell in Miljacka River yesterday in the early morning hours will be continued today.
Maja Hadziahmetovic from Mountain Rescue Service of Sarajevo said that the search is always uncertain, it can be short but some can last even for months.
“People who are approaching the river must have equipment, they must be secured with a rope and must be able to move,” stated Hadziahmetovic.
“The Federal Administration for Civil Protection is participating in the search with 100 members, there are also members of the Cantonal Administration of Civil Protection, Mountain Rescue Service Sarajevo, Firefighters, GSS Visoko, rafting club. Everyone is involved in the search. The entire area is being searched, from the place they fell into the water up to Visoko or the mouth of Miljacka River in the Bosna River,” said Spokeswoman of the Federal Administration for Civil Protection, Majda Kovac.
“The search was continued through the night. There were some indications on where these young men could be and 25 people worked all night. New people came this morning as well as new boats. Divers cannot go into the mud, but they will be included as soon as they can,” added Kovac.
