Yesterday morning, Sarajevo was the most polluted city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the air quality is clearly unhealthy for the population.
The air quality index at 7:00 a.m. was 172, and after Sarajevo, the most polluted air this morning was in Zenica.
The air quality index in Zenica was 170, Visoko 166 and Kakanj 155. In the mentioned cities, as in the previous days, there was a particularly high concentration of PM10 particles, according to the data collected by the non-governmental organization Eco Action.
The data is collected from official measuring stations. Some of these stations are under the jurisdiction of the FBiH Hydrometeorological Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Institute of Public Health of the Sarajevo Canton, and part under the jurisdiction of the Tuzla Canton and some are controlled by the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
