SFF2The 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival will be opened on Friday, the 12th of August, with parallel screenings of the film “Taxi Driver” at the National Theatre in Sarajevo and Open Air Cinema.

The audience of the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival will have the opportunity to welcome the famous actor Robert De Niro, who will receive the first Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award for Lifetime Achievement in Open Air Cinema in front of 3,000 visitors.

Although forecasts announced slightly lower temperatures than usual for this part of the summer, organizers of the SFF are sure that colder night will not spoil the atmosphere of welcoming De Niro and superior projection of the cult work by Martin Scorsese, which is restored in honor of the 40th anniversary of its screening.

“Prepare for a special night, put the blanket or warm scarf on and let’s enjoy together the extraordinary projection and meeting with special guest at the Open Air Cinema of the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival,” as stated bythe organizers of the SFF.
