Sarajevo will be the host of the Balkan Table Tennis Championship in 2013

In the organization of the table tennis Academy ”Stad” in Sarajevo, the 39th Balkan Table Tennis Championship for seniors will be held in Sarajevo. On the occasion of the forthcoming championship, the agreement on organization was signed between the Academy ”Stad” and the Municipality Center Sarajevo with the Balkan Table Tennis Union. The Municipality Center Sarajevo will perform the duties as the co-organizer of this championship, which will be held from the 28th August till the 1st September, 2013.

This championship will be held at the same time when the Balkan Table Tennis Union is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Due to that, during the championship, a ceremonial congress of the Balkan Table Tennis Union will also be held.

” Today I may officially say that Sarajevo will be the host of the Balkan Championship in table tennis. Next year, the Balkan Table Tennis Union is celebrating its 50th  anniversary, and this is also the year when the World Championship in table tennis is celebrating its 40th  anniversary, so all these anniversaries will be marked with the attendance of worlds and European table tennis federations”- said the managing director of the Balkan Table Tennis Union, Milorad Trpovski.
