ServalSarajevo zoo at Pionirska Dolina will receive a lioness until the end of this week.

“We are expecting the call from the Zoo from Osijek in Croatia during this week, to go for a six-year old lioness and to bring it to the Sarajevo zoo. We have promised it to our citizens and we will keep the promise. We are ready to receive the lioness and for our lion to get finally his “queen” and for Sarajevo to get a small zoo”, said for Agency Fena the Manager of Recreation and Entertaining Center of Pionirska Dolina Esad Tajić.

He added that the Sarajevo Zoo at Pionirska Dolina has received a new animal. It is a serval (from the cat family) and a Sarajevo woman has donated this animal to the zoo.

Tajić explained that this is a significant donation and currently a shelter is being constructed for it, in order for this animal to be available for visitors of the zoo.

“We hope to finish the shelter in 10 days and for this animal to be available to our visitors. Serval is an African animal. It is very attractive and very interesting for our region”, said Tajić.

He invites all Sarajevo and B&H citizens to take advantage of the good weather and to visit the Sarajevo zoo at Pionirska Dolina and to enjoy in the oasis of peace and beauty.
