In the Sarajevo Canton, according to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, 42 newly infected persons were registered, Avaz news portal reports.

A total of 293 samples were processed in the Clinical Centre University Sarajevo (KCUS) laboratory, of which 67 were positive.

There are 42 new cases, and the rest are retesting previously positive people, it was explained from the Institute.

As for the isolation ward in Podhrastovi, 38 people have been hospitalized so far this morning, but none of them are on a respirator.

This is a big jump considering that at the beginning of the pandemic there were only 22 hospitalized.

Currently, 526 cases of coronavirus are active in the Sarajevo Canton, and 14,302 tests have been processed.

At the moment, there are 837 people in self-isolation. There are a total of seven deaths in Sarajevo Canton. However, the largest clusters are still Novi Grad and Ilidža, with over 150 infected.
