FAKAT-DRAMAIn SARTR, a five-day theatre workshop called ‘Fakat Drama’, which is organized through the cooperation of SARTR and the British Council, has begun, announced SARTR.

The first part of the educational theatre project for children and youth ‘Fakat Drama’ currently has 15 boys and girls from 12 to 15 years old. With this workshop, SARTR decided to open space and a way to make their voices heard, and to develop a generation that will be able to better contribute to B&H society. The workshop is led by experienced young actors Amila Terzimehić, Ana-Mia Milić, Irma Alimanović Alihodžić, Executive Producer and Program Manager of SARTR and flautist Sabina Šabić, and as guests are theatre teacher from Great Britain Sarah Stephenson and Allie Spencer, who are leading a theatre program for children and youth in the theatre Nottingham Playhouse for 10 years.

‘’This project was started as an attempt to enrich the cultural scene for what is important, because we get a new audience and new participants in the cultural scene that is essential to the wider society. The second key element of the entire story is to help our theatre professionals to gain experience and skills in working with young people. Therefore, the British Council decided to connect SARTR and the theatre house from Great Britain, which has many years of experience in this field, and this is Nottingham Playhouse. Our goal is to develop and train teachers in this area and to develop a project throughout B&H’’, said the Director of the British Council in B&H Larisa Halilović.
