High Representative Christian Schmidt had a very constructive discussion with Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović on the current developments in the country and possible solutions. They agreed that the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH suspending the disputed laws of the Republika Srpska is a key step towards clarifying the situation and ensuring legal certainty, the Office of the High Representative announced on the X platform.

“omestic institutions have both the means and the strong support of the international community to address this unacceptable violation of the Dayton Agreement. I thank and pay tribute to the state institutions that uphold the rule of law and ensure the security of all citizens in BiH,” said the High Representative Christian Schmidt.
