Schmidt annoyed by BiH Politicians and Accusations against him (Video)

During yesterday‘s visit to Gorazde, High Representative Christian Schmidt spoke with journalists about the amendments to the Election Law and the unblocking of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), during which he spoke harshly, obviously angry at the laziness of the politicians, but also the allegations that he was involved in political games.

After a journalist’s question about why he did not focus on the rights of Others when drafting the changes, Schmidt reacted very openly and harshly.

“Nonsense, total nonsense. Look, I didn’t come to sit and stand here, I care about this country. This is a city where people lost their lives and we (the Office of the High Representative – OHR) are not here to play political games. Politicians play them and I‘ve had enough of it. I’m sorry to be loud, but I can’t take anymore these false insinuations,” Schmidt said.

It is clear that Schmidt is not pleased with the numerous attacks and allegations that he is trying to favor one political option with the changes, that is why he very clearly said that he came to BiHwith good intentions and that it is the politicians who see everything as a coin for pocketing the money and are sabotaging the unblocking of the state.

“For 15 years the politicians in this country have not been able to agree on the Election Law, ask them why it hasn’t been changed. I’m getting very angry because everyone here is blaming everyone else and it’s always someone else’s fault,” Schmidt mentioned.

He also reiterated that it is high time for politicians to sit down and start working and that they will not accept constant accusations that he is questioning the territorial integrity of the state or Others in BiH, Klix.ba reports.
